Each 2-Coin Set contains one 1/2 oz. 2012 Silver Dragon and one 1/2 oz. 2012 Silver Koala.

The reverse of the koala coin depicts an adult koala asleep in a eucalyptus tree.

The reverse of the dragon coin depicts a representation of a dragon with a symbolic pearl. The Chinese character for 'dragon' and the inscription 'YEAR OF THE DRAGON' also appear in the design.

Both designs include The Perth Mint's 'P' mintmark. Issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965, each coin features the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on its obverse.
